How it works

A quick walkthrough of everything Giftlist can do — from install to first shared list.

  1. Enable the dashboard

After install, pin the dashboard so you never have to search for it again.

  2. Add buttons to a product page

Add Save, Send and View buttons wherever you like on your product page.

  3. Add the Giftlist page

Create a page template, then a page, and link the View button to it.

  4. Add the Giftlist banner (optional)

A minimalistic alternative to the View button that lets customers navigate to their wishlist.

About the dashboard

Select the month, day, or overall time range to see statistics.

About the dashboard 1

See the lists created for that day. A list created does not mean an order placed or a product added to cart — it simply means someone saved your products to their wishlist AND sent it to somebody.

Often, "lists created" does not show as pink on the calendar due to Priority — because it is very likely somebody came to your store to check out the products, and that is much more important.

Orders from giftlists shows if a customer who came from a giftlist or a reminder placed an order in that same browsing session.

Saved products shows what products from your store were saved by people in general. It cannot be filtered by day or month — it is an overall statistic.

Priority

Calendar days get a color based on the most important event that day.

Rule: orders (green) > added to cart (purple) > repeat visitor (yellow) > new visitor (blue) > list created (pink).
